Organic or Conventional Mongongo Oil
The Mongongo tree belongs to the Euphorbia family and is endemic to the savannas and dry areas of the Kalahari, between Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. However, it is also present on a smaller scale in other countries of sub-equatorial Africa.
The Mongongo tree reaches a height of 15-20 meters and starts to bear fruit after twenty-five years. Its pale and yellow wood is similar to that of balsa wood in both lightness and robustness. Mongongo seeds, also known as Mongongo/Manketti nuts, have highly nutritious properties.
