Organic Honeybush
Honeybush tea comes from the Cyclopia plant, a shrub that grows only in the coastal and mountainous areas of the WestEastern Cape regions of South Africa. Its yellow flowers smell like honey, hence its name.
Honeybush contains a number of known phytoestrogens (phyto = plant). These plant compounds bind to the estrogen receptors in the body and can imitate the effects of human estrogen. Honeybush could therefore help to relieve menopause-related symptoms and protect post-menopausal women against cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis.
